The Innogredients Group BV - A new star has risen on the Ingredients horizon
Food Ingredients & Specialities and Fromatech Ingredients announce their merger together with their new strategic partners Driessen Group and Wiebeco.

At the beginning of the year, Fi & S BV and Fromatech Ingredients BV signed a strategic merger and began a partnership with Driessen Group BV and Wiebeco Group of Companies. This cooperation will operate as the “Innogredients Group BV”.

Fromatech Ingredients is an international company engaged in the development and production of flavours, flavour systems, cheese based powders and seasonings for all segments of the food and beverage industry, delivering to over 60 countries. Dedication to quality and service, constant focus on product innovation and an open and informal corporate culture are important aspects within their organization.

Fi & S is a young and dynamic Dutch company with its core activity in developing and producing high-quality functional blends for the whole food industry. Specializing in water and fat management, coating systems, injection and tumbling mixes, and complete tailor-made products, Fi & S BV is able to serve and support its clients in the most professional and efficient manner.

Fi & S BV provides the functional solutions, while Fromatech Ingredients is specialized in the taste solutions for the food industry. The combination of these companies enables a one-stop-shopping concept for all customers in the food and beverage industry, resulting in a unique selling point for the ingredient supplier. Fi & S BV will make use of the expertise and the equipment of Fromatech’s R&D centre, which was completed in 2007 with 4 different laboratories covering more than 1000m².

Ongoing co-operation with several of the most progressive machinery suppliers gives Fi & S access to all application machines needed to imitate clients’ total industrial processes and demonstrates the end product to its clients directly.

The two partners of the Innogredients Group are Wiebeco Group of Companies and Driessen Group BV.

Established in the early 1950s, Wiebeco Group of Companies, is a Canadian family company that is diverse world wide in promoting health & fitness, dairy & egg proteins, and, along with its international company, Neova Technologies, producing biologically active products. Wiebeco is a major shareholder in Brookside Foods a manufacturer of leading brands of confectionary products, some of which have won the Canadian Grocery Grande Prix award.

The second partner, the Driessen Group (established in 1932), will provide the complete world-wide logistics of Innogredients, with partners in 90 countries, 30 traction units and more than 600.000 m³ of storage and transshipment facilities located on its own premises in Deurne.
